VPW has come a long way since early days in a single office in Exeter way back in 1998. We have provided great service to local businesses for over a decade, growing steadily and evolving the products and services we offer, with one thing in mind from day one: making IT easy. Here's our story so far…
1998 – VPW began, providing domain names and hosting. But from humble beginnings, we quickly grew…
1999 – with a fast-expanding customer base, we started getting requests for more services and support, so started offering personalised IT support and setting out the infrastructure for more services.
2000 – by the millennium VPW had become a popular provider in Exeter. With plenty of ‘kit' in place, we offer everything from business telephone lines to web hosting.
2001-2002 – VPW continues to grow, gaining new customers thanks to our ‘Making IT easy' philosophy
2003 – demand for our services and support continued to grow, we became a limited company, with a full-time team.
2004-2007 – accelerated growth with several major contract wins driving further development of the company's capabilities. We added services to our offering to help solve our customers' problems, including cloud hosting (before it was even called Cloud) and proactive IT maintenance services.
2008 – the VPW team gets too big for our original offices, so we moved to new premises in Exeter.
2009 – we achieved Microsoft Certified Partner status and gained a Competency in Networking Infrastructure Solutions. We launched services such as Agility Mail and Agility Voice.
2010 – steady, stable growth continues – we gained more customers, and continue to invest in infrastructure to keep their systems running smoothly today… and tomorrow.
2011 – here we are with almost more office space, more than 100 servers, 5 connection sites and hundreds of customers in almost every market sector.
2012 - launched new Committed IT Support plans, improving the service and value for money our customers receive.
2013 - Agility Desktop v2 goes live enhancing our Small Business Cloud services, a new office space, Renewal of our Microsoft Partner and AVG Gold Partner statuses, several significant new customer wins and ongoing committment to investment.
2014 - New Investment in Server Infrastructure Announced, gained acceptance as a Microsoft Authorised Education Reseller, new features and services added to our product portfolio.
2015 - Investment in more people to serve customers better, began our biggest internal transformation projects to improve the non-technical side of the business, won major contracts with public sector bodies demonstrating our ability to scale and deliver large projects.
