If I transfer a domain name away, what happens?

Once your domain name has transferred away, our services will usually end.

For .uk domain names, this will be around 48 hours (at most) after the tag change has been made - we strongly urge you to ensure that you are prepared and have the new services, systems and ISP setup before you ask us to perform a transfer.

For other domains, our services will end 24-48 hours after the gaining registry notifies us that they've received the domain and we receive notification that the transfer has completed.

NOTE: We do not permit you to keep our services once the domain name is moved away - if this is an issue, we recommend you simply have us update the A or MX records as appropriate, and complete the transfer process later.
